Magnomechanics in suspended magnetic beams

چکیده
Cavity optomechanical systems have become a popular playground for studies of controllable nonlinear interactions between light and motion. Owing to the large speed light, realizing cavity optomechanics in microwave frequency range requires cavities up several mm size, hence making it hard embed them on same chip. An alternative scheme with much smaller footprint is provided by magnomechanics, where electromagnetic replaced magnet undergoing ferromagnetic resonance, coupling originates from magnetic shape anisotropy. Here, we consider magnomechanical interaction occurring suspended beam, which both mechanical modes physically overlap can also be driven individually. We show that sizable produced if beam has some initial static deformation, as often case due unequal strains constituent materials. how magnetism affects magnetomotive detection vibrations, magnomechanics used signal amplification. Finally, discuss experimental progress towards scheme.

Cavity magnomechanics
A dielectric body couples with electromagnetic fields through radiation pressure and electrostrictive forces, which mediate phonon-photon coupling in cavity optomechanics. In a magnetic medium, according to the Korteweg-Helmholtz formula, which describes the electromagnetic force density acting on a medium, magneostrictive forces should arise and lead to phonon-magnon interaction. We report suc...
متن کاملGa+ beam lithography for suspended lateral beams and nanowires
The authors demonstrate the fabrication of suspended nanowires and doubly clamped beams by using a focused ion beam implanted Ga etch mask followed by an inductively coupled plasma reactive ion etching of silicon. This method will demonstrate how a two-step, completely dry fabrication sequence can be tuned to generate nanomechanical structures on either silicon substrates or silicon on insulato...
متن کاملNanofabrication by magnetic focusing of supersonic beams
We present a new method for nanoscale atom lithography. We propose the use of a supersonic atomic beam, which provides an extremely high brightness and cold source of fast atoms. The atoms are to be focused onto a substrate using a thin magnetic film, into which apertures with widths on the order of 100 nm have been etched. Focused spot sizes near or below 10 nm, with focal lengths on the order...
